DMITRIVKA
Kiev region, Ukraine, 2020
This project is a renovation of a private residential house from the early 2000s. The client’s main objective was a complete rethinking of the interior space and a redesign to meet modern living needs. The main challenge was that the house has a precast-monolithic structural system, which made the demolition of partitions and walls particularly complex and required additional measures. Thanks to a comprehensive approach and careful planning, we were able to combine numerous small rooms into a single open space, which became the main day zone of the house. This area includes a sofa group, a fireplace zone, a dining area, and a kitchen niche separated by a glass partition, creating a comfortable and functional spatial composition. The second and third floors house the bedrooms. The master bedroom features a large walk-in wardrobe and a private bathroom. The children’s bedrooms share a bathroom accessible from the corridor. The attic floor contains a large play area with climbing walls, ladders, swings, and other entertainment elements. Adjacent to the play area are guest rooms with private bathrooms, ensuring comfort for all residents and visitors.
The interior is designed in a premium style that combines modern classic and contemporary design. The space features abundant natural wood and marble textures, with classical finishing elements such as stylistic cornices, while all furniture is custom-designed in a modern style, creating a harmonious and functional environment. The project implementation took over two years, and the result fully satisfied both the studio team and the client.
