ARCH COMPETITION

Ukraine, 2021

The architectural concept of this administrative building was developed as part of a Ukrainian architectural competition for the design of a new government administrative facility. The site for the project is located within a unique landscape park characterized by a large number of mature pine trees. This natural context became one of the key factors shaping the architectural solution, resulting in a vertically rhythmic façade composition. The spatial structure of the building consists of four separate blocks connected to one another. Each block is designed to accommodate an individual department of the governmental institution, allowing for a clear functional organization while maintaining a degree of autonomy for the different divisions. The architectural image of the building is based on the combination of concise geometric volumes and contemporary materials. The façade design is defined by large continuous glazed surfaces complemented by a system of metal louver structures above them, forming a distinctive spatial envelope and creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.

The stylistic language of the building emphasizes its administrative character: cool tones, metal, glass, and concrete dominate the material palette. This combination creates a restrained yet contemporary architectural expression that harmoniously interacts with the natural environment of the surrounding landscape park. The project was not realized and remained at the stage of a competition proposal, where it received the status of a nominated entry in the architectural competition.
