GORENKA
Kiev region, Ukraine, 2022
This residential building, designed as two attached housing units for two families, is located in a green suburban area of Kyiv.
Each half of the house has an area of approximately 300 m² and is designed to accommodate a large family. The planning structure is based on a clear division between public (daytime) and private zones.
The ground floor is entirely dedicated to the living area, organized as an open-plan space that combines the living room, dining area, and kitchen. This layout enhances the sense of spaciousness and encourages interaction between family members. This level also includes a study, which can be used as a guest room if needed, a bathroom, walk-in wardrobes, and technical rooms.
The second floor forms the private zone of the house and includes two spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and wardrobe. The master bedroom has direct access to a large terrace offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The terrace is complemented by a pergola structure, providing shade and strengthening the connection with nature.
On the courtyard side, the ground floor features a spacious terrace with a dedicated barbecue area and a small SPA pool, creating a полноценное outdoor recreational space.
The architecture of the house is executed in a contemporary style, emphasizing expressive volumetric composition. Large roof overhangs create deep shadows and protected exterior spaces, including terraces and a carport. These elements enhance the horizontal articulation of the building and add visual lightness.
The façade is finished with large-format porcelain stoneware panels, forming a cohesive and durable exterior. Extensive glazing ensures maximum natural daylight and establishes a strong visual connection with the surrounding environment. The use of modern aluminum sliding systems highlights the technological character of the project and allows seamless integration between interior and exterior spaces.
As a result, the house provides a high-quality living environment that combines contemporary architecture, functionality, and a close relationship with nature, ensuring comfortable and independent living for two families in a suburban setting.
