BEREGOVA 7

Kiev region, Ukraine, 2021

This individual residential house with a total area of approximately 280 m², located in the Kyiv region, is designed as a contemporary private residence that combines an open spatial layout, restrained architecture, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. The architectural composition is defined by clear geometric volumes forming a выразна two-story structure. The upper volume appears to cantilever over the ground floor, creating a sheltered entrance area and a covered parking space. This approach emphasizes the horizontal articulation of the façade and highlights the modern character of the building. The ground floor is organized as an open-plan living area, where the main functions are combined into a spacious studio space. The living room, dining area, and kitchen are integrated into a single environment. Large panoramic glazing provides abundant natural light and establishes a direct visual connection with the garden and terrace. The kitchen with an island is seamlessly integrated into the main space while maintaining an efficient functional relationship with the dining area. The living room is oriented towards the inner courtyard and opens onto a spacious covered terrace. On the courtyard side, a large terrace is designed as an extension of the interior living space. Partially covered, it accommodates an outdoor dining area as well as a separate lounge zone with a built-in fireplace. This arrangement creates a comfortable outdoor environment and enhances the private atmosphere of the yard.

The second floor is fully dedicated to the private zone, accommodating the bedrooms. These spaces benefit from large windows and access to a balcony, allowing for ample daylight and open views of the surrounding landscape. The architectural expression is based on a combination of contemporary materials and a restrained color palette. The façades are primarily finished with light clinker brick, creating a solid yet refined appearance. Natural wood accents highlight key architectural elements and add warmth to the overall composition. Large glazed surfaces, dark metal canopy structures, and strong horizontal lines define a clean, modern, and recognizable architectural identity. Through the integration of open planning, carefully designed outdoor spaces, and a balanced material palette, the house creates a comfortable living environment where architecture harmoniously interacts with its natural surroundings.
