GORENICHI

Kiev region, Ukraine, 2015

The project of a small countryside house in the Kyiv region is designed to create a comfortable living environment for a single family. The volumetric and spatial concept is based on a classic residential composition with a pitched roof, forming a recognizable and harmonious silhouette. At the same time, the building is complemented by additional volumes — a carport and a ტერrace with a barbecue area — which introduce a contemporary architectural character and expand the functional possibilities of the house. The total area of the house is approximately 220 m². The planning structure is organized according to a clear zoning principle. The second floor is entirely dedicated to the private area, accommodating three bedrooms that share a common bathroom. The ground floor features an interesting spatial organization, where the staircase visually divides the space into two functional zones. On one side, there is the living room as the main area for relaxation and social interaction, while on the other side there is a kitchen-dining area. The kitchen provides direct access to a terrace, partially covered by the second-floor balcony, where a barbecue area is arranged. This solution creates a cozy semi-open space for outdoor leisure.

A separate volume of the carport for two vehicles is integrated into the overall composition of the house and includes an additional storage room, enhancing the functionality of the project. The architectural expression of the façades is based on a combination of restrained contrasting materials. Accent areas, particularly the entrance zone, are finished with ceramic facing brick, while the main surfaces are treated with light-colored plaster. The roof is выполнен in dark standing seam metal, emphasizing the graphic quality of the building’s silhouette. Large glazing areas ensure abundant natural light in the interior spaces and create a sense of openness and spatial continuity. As a result, the project forms a contemporary countryside home where traditional form is combined with modern architectural solutions, providing a comfortable and functional living environment.
